What We Believe
God
We believe God is pleased for us to know him through faith. We believe that God is three persons (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit). Each are separate and fully God, yet indivisible. (Matthew 28:19, 1 Corinthians 8:6, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
Jesus Christ
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, fully God yet fully man. (Luke 1:26-35, Isaiah 7:14)
Holy Spirit
We believe in the power, gifts, and manifestations of the Holy Spirit as He determines for the good of all believers. (I Corinthians 12:4-14; Acts 1:8)
Salvation
We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross by which we obtain remission of sins and the promise of eternal life. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11)
Scripture
We believe that every word of every book in the Bible is Holy Scripture. We believe the Scriptures are God-breathed, authoritative and meant for teaching us to live in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Communion
We believe the sacrament of Communion is both a personal and community act of examination and faith for believers. (I Corinthians 11:23-32)
The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, local and universal. Jesus not only loves the church, but freely gave His life to redeem her. The church is also a place where a community of believers meets to hear teachings for spiritual growth. The church is purposed to worship, build up believers, and to minister to the world around her. (Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:12-13, 5:25; Deuteronomy 4:10; Hebrews 10:25)
